Join us for some pumpkin fun! Event is open to youth ages 5-18 years old.
Event Details
Mecklenburg County 4-H is hosting its' 2nd Annual Pumpkin Pizzazz-alooza! Decorate your own pumpkin and bring it to life by writing a story or poem to tell us about your creation! Prizes will be awarded to the Best Overall in each age division and in each category. There will also be 1 "Best In Show" award for the overall competition and winner with the best story/poem & pumpkin design.
We appreciate Mecklenburg County Farm Bureau for their generous donation of pumpkins to make this event possible again this year!
Pumpkin starter kits which include 1 pumpkin and basic carving tools and decorations will be supplied. A limited number of pumpkins and kits are available. These can be picked up at the Mecklenburg County Extension Center located at 1418 Armory Drive Charlotte, NC 28204.
Pick up dates:
Tuesday, October 19th from 10AM-12NOON; 2PM-4PM
Wednesday, October 20th from 9AM-12NOON; 2PM-3PM
*We ask that you kindly not register for this event if you are unable to make the specified pickup times as we want to ensure all pumpkins are claimed by those who register and intend to pick up. Please check your calendar before claiming, thank you.
NOTE: All youth who sign up to participate MUST be registered in 4-H Online in order to be eligible to receive a prize. Registration in 4-H Online can be completed by visiting nc.4honline.com. The following video will walk you through completing the profile. Any youth without a completed profile will be participating for fun only and will not be eligible to receive a prize.
Winners will be announced on Friday, November 19th, 2021 and shared at https://www.facebook.com/mecklenburgces.

-Additional materials purchased on your own can be used
-Only 1 entry allowed per child
