Ben's Friends co-founder Mickey Baskt (the owner of The Charleston Grill) share his own personal story and that of Ben's Friends. Coffee and pastries will be served.Pioneered in Charleston in honor of Ben Murray, a lifelong chef who took his own life after struggling wiht alcoholism for years, the program has since spread throughout the nation including chapters in Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta and Portland. Asheville will be the 7th city to have a Ben's Friends chapter. All chefs, owners and managers are invited to attend.
