A unique opportunity to raise funds for the Backpack Program of Catawba County, a program of The Corner Table.
Event Details
The Backpack Bash will have decorated backpacks on display at the Hickory Museum of Art. Backpacks will be created by local businesses, individuals, etc. The social and awards banquet will include refreshments, live musical entertainment, and a silent auction. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite backpack and a panel of judges will award an array of unique titles the evening of the Awards Banquet.
The Backpack Program, a program of The Corner Table , is seeking to end childhood hunger in Catawba County by providing 1,300 children in 34 local schools with a bag full of food each weekend throughout the school year. Providing food to families insures that a child can come to school ready to learn, removing hunger as a barrier to a good education.
