We'll head to the North Carolina mountains for a visit to the Carl Sandburg (Poet of the People) home, Connemara, a National Historic Site, where we'll tour the Sandburg home, have the opportunity to hike on over 5 miles of trails, visit the farm and dairy goats, and much more. Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes! Next stop is Hendersonville for lunch. We'll have a selection of charming restaurants to choose from as we mosey down Main Street. (Pay for your own lunch) Then we'll meet again for our last stop... Flat Rock Playhouse, where we'll see a matinee performance of the musical "All Shook Up", a crazy and uplifting musical comedy with a rousing Elvis score. A 1950s dreary cookie-cutter town where everything’s about to change. A musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes! Finally, a relaxing ride back to West Columbia.
Included: Round trip motorcoach transportation, admission to the Carl Sandburg home, tickets to“All Shook Up” at Flat Rock Playhouse, a tour manager, plus all parking, permits, tolls and gratuity for the motorcoach operator.
