Be a part of Thanksgiving Morning Movement: Asheville Ecstatic Dance
As individuals in a greater community, we come together Thanksgiving morning for a wave of meditation and movement medicine. Facilitator Jai Dee will bring his most diverse, deep and danceable tracks to form the perfect holiday morning movement journey.
Itinerary:
10:30 - Arrival
10:30 - 11:00 Collective Contact Jam, and/or Deep Internal Warmup Delve
11:00 - 11:05 Short but sweet opening circle
11:05 - 12:30 Dance Wave
12:30 - 12:50 Conversation and departures
1:00 - GTFO
GUIDELINES FOR ECSTATIC DANCE:
*No street shoes
*No conversation during waves
*No shaming
*No coming if you are feeling a bit ill
*Yes consent culture
*Yes brush teeth, shower and clean clothes (yes keep your clothes on)
*Yes participate
*Yes state boundaries clearly from moment to moment
*Yes supervised children
*Yes be aware of your surroundings and energy
TICKETING:
We have limited space so advance ticketing is highly recommended
Ticket Sales are:
$7 the day of
$10 the night before or day of dance
Door tickets will be $10, if we still have space
LOCATION INFO:
We will be at the Rusty Lotus Dojo, Located on Tingle Alley Directly opposite of the 5 Walnut Wine Bar (across the street from the wine bar, through the private parking lot, up the stairs.) A youtube video showing the location will be EMAILED to all advance ticket holders the day before. Check your email.
If you have never been to the Rusty Lotus you are in for a real treat! This is a beautiful and private downtown loft with a fine dance floor and true Ashland artistic elegance.
PARKING IS FREE ON THANKSGIVING - DO NOT FEED THE METERS
